About Shore Safeguarding

Julie Shore brings over 20 years safeguarding experience working across education, sports and community sectors.

With first‑hand experience of the lonely space that safeguarding leads, managers, deputies and welfare officers often occupy, I know how vital it is to have somewhere safe to reflect.

Throughout my career, professional supervision and peer support have been lifelines — helping me stay grounded, confident and able to make difficult decisions.

Through Shore Safeguarding I offer independent safeguarding supervision, practical support and advice for organisations working with children and young people across education, sport and community settings.

Safeguarding leadership can be complex and emotionally demanding. My aim is to provide a supportive, reflective space where safeguarding professionals can explore cases, consider thresholds, reflect on decision-making and strengthen their practice.

Supervision offers time and space for professional reflection, constructive challenge and meaningful support — helping those with safeguarding responsibility feel more confident and grounded in the decisions they make.

If you would like to learn more about safeguarding supervision or discuss how I could support your organisation, please get in touch.
